FBC Campus Enhancements have begun

The Campus Enhancement team at First Baptist has been diligently working to modernize the sanctuary space. They have been busy selecting colors for the carpet, window styles, lighting, and seating. The addition of bathrooms and new doors at the entrance of the church are a big part of the overall plan. In addition to the sanctuary, the team will also update the fellowship hall, which will serve as the primary meeting space while the sanctuary is undergoing its facelift.

The fellowship hall renovation is scheduled to be completed within the next 6 weeks. Soon, we will start gathering in the fellowship hall for worship while the sanctuary is being updated.

The decorating committee has chosen a palette of calming gray tones to improve the feel of the space. Curtains will add a touch of color.
Last week, the project started with the removal of the old carpet. This week, John F. removed all the decorations from the walls and windows as he prepared for painting. We still need to install new carpet tiles, apply soundproofing, and add new window treatments. One of the final tasks will be to steam clean the kitchen tiles and the area around the fellowship hall heating station. Once this is done, we can bring in the chairs, music, and sound equipment needed for a welcoming worship service.

The fellowship hall can still be used for luncheons and other events during the sanctuary renovation. The tables are stored across the hall and can be set up quickly.

This is an exciting time in the life of First Baptist Church. We cannot wait to see what else God has in store for us. We know that we are headed for great things as a church in this wonderful community. Join us as we move forward into a bright future.
