OUR EXECUTIVE PASTOR

Meet Pastor Wayne

Wayne Cook came to First Baptist Church Pigeon Forge in the fall of 1995 and serves as the Executive Pastor. A graduate of The University in Nacogdoches, Texas, Wayne later taught at Northeast Louisiana University as associated professor in Family Development and Childhood Education before surrendering to Full-time Christian Ministry and attending Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.

Wayne has served in such churches as FBC Castle Hills, TX, FBC Jacksonville, FL, FBC Springdale, AR, FBC Woodstock, GA, and now FBC Pigeon Forge, TN in areas of education and administration. Along with his wife of over 42 years, Regi, Wayne has three adult childen and four grandchildren. Hobbies include planning and spending time with family, reading, and enjoying God's Outdoor creation.

Meet Pastor Terry

Terry L. Kirby began his ministry as lead pasor at First Baptist Pigeon Forge on January 1st, 2022. Pastor Terry has served for over twentry-five years as senior pastor and holds a doctorate in Expository Preaching from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is the creator and Editor of the I AM Bible and the author of The Liberty Keys: God's Instructions for Keeping America Free. His passion is to boldly communicate the Word of God for transformation of lives that leads God's disciples to obedience and abundant life and to encourage each Christ follower to spend time in daily Bible reading and prayer.

Pastor Terry is married to Jeana; a Registered Nurse turned Knox Country School supervisor. They have two grown daughters. Pastor Terry's hobbies include spending time with family, reading, and working on a writing project.
