Women’s Ministry Opportunities

The Women’s Bible study starts back up on Thursday, April 20th! Come join the ladies at 6pm to discuss learning to walk in God’s plans instead of our own. (Fellowship Hall)

Our women’s ministry will be attending the Priscilla Shirer event in Knoxville on July 14-15. “Ever feel like you’re in a rut? Whether you need inspiration or a challenge, Priscilla Shirer Live will snap you out of routine faith. Priscilla’s ministry to women across the country and around the world is focused on the expository teaching of the Word of God. Her desire is to see women come to a full understanding of who they are in Christ by hearing the uncompromising truth of Scripture. With passionate Bible teaching from Priscilla and worship by Anthony Evans, you don’t want to miss this intimate and inspiring event for women of every age, culture, and background.” Please register with Kay (548-5115) for a ticket ($59) by April 24th. For details, visit here.

A new multigenerational ladies Sunday School class  is set to begin on May 7th. L.A.C.E. (Ladies after Christ’s example) will meet at 9:15am in room 201. It will be facilitated by Carrie Murphy.

Conference and Workshop Hosted

participants at the Spirituotherapy Workshop March 6-9

18 people attended the Exchanged Life conference (March 3,4) and workshop (March 6-9) hosted by our church. It was a meaningful and practical time of equipping disciplers to help others through a basic Christ-centered counseling approach. Pray for these alumni as they return to their communities and share the fuller message of the Cross in personal and public ministry.

Women’s Bible Study – Thursday Evenings

marys_heartThe Ladies Bible Study meets in the Fellowship Hall on Thursday evenings at 6:00pm. All gals are invited! The current topic is Joanna Weaver’s book:

“The life of a woman today isn’t really all that different from that of Mary and Martha in the New Testament. Like Mary, you long to sit at the Lord’s feet…but the daily demands of a busy world just won’t leave you alone. Like Martha, you love Jesus and really want to serve him…yet you struggle with weariness, resentment, and feelings of inadequacy.

Then comes Jesus, right into the midst of your busy Mary/Martha life—and He extends the same invitation He issued long ago to the two sisters of Bethany. Tenderly He invites you to choose ‘the better part’—a joyful life of ‘living-room’ intimacy with Him that flows naturally into ‘kitchen service’ for Him.

How can you make that choice? Now updated with a new 12 week companion Bible study, Weaver shows how all of us—Marys and Marthas alike—can draw closer to our Lord, deepening our devotion, strengthening our service, and doing both with less stress and greater joy.”
